Shockwave is a participatory documentary starring Celina
"Mausolena" Carra in which she speaks to hosts, fans and producers from
horror hosting shows, in an attempt to create the perfect horror hosting
character.
My name is Celina Ehrlich (also known as Celina Carra), and I am a graduate student at Temple University
in Philadelphia, working on a Master of Arts in Media Studies and
Production. Shockwave is my master's project (no
pressure)!
I have a passion for both horror and local media, and have worked for
years in both fields. I have studied and written about horror from an
academic media studies lens for many years now, specifically the ways in
which the genre intersects with issues of gender, race, class, and
disability. I've also worked in local radio, local print media, local
events and art and music for many years too. Horror Hosting combines my
two passions into one spooky package, and I am so excited to create a
documentary that supports local media and horror.
More information about the documentary will be coming soon! In the
meantime, follow the project's
Instagram for updates and

production blog to
